Happy New Year 2009

Well, good morning! Did you stay up to the see the ball drop? We didn't watch it on tv, because we were watching Kung Fu Panda. We didn't even watch the whole movie because we were ready to hit the hay just after midnight. Baby Bear managed to stay up until about 9:30, thanks to that late nap.


Right now, the tv is on, with the Rose Parade showing on at least 4 channels. There are some pretty amazing floats this year. The theme is "Hats Off to Entertainment" I normally don't watch it, but I did get to see a few floats...including one from my "home state" of New Mexico. This float won the Bob Hope Humor Award, for its depiction of Wile E. Coyote and the Roadrunner.


Later on, I think we're going to go for a good walk. Yesterday I managed to get Brother Bear, and Baby Bear, to go for a walk with me. We walked 1-3/4 miles! Whew! I haven't done that in quite awhile, but it felt good. Papa Bear is going to go with us today. We have our handy-dandy little pedometers that we got from Amazon.com
