You Capture -- Patriotism

Our family LOVES the 4th of July. If you know me or Papa Bear, you know that our wedding colors were red, white, and blue, and that we would have gotten married on July 4th if it had worked out for us. So, of course, I'm going to dress the kids in their patriotic best for church. Princess Diva Toddler Bear is wearing the pillowcase dress that I made her. The patriotism bug has been passed on to our teenager. He couldn't WAIT to hang the flag!

You Capture -- Happy

Today's "You Capture" theme from "I Should Be Folding Laundry" is "Happy".

Yesterday, I took a LOT of photos, just to get more practice in. Sometimes my little bears are agreeable when it comes to Mama Bear wanting to take their photos, and sometimes they are not. But yesterday, I was able to get some photos, and my "You Capture: Happy" photos are some that I absolutely love. I took these with a Canon Rebel T1i, with a 50mm, 1.8 lens.

The little girl in the blue and purple is the daughter of a friend of mine. We had fun taking photos at a local park, with the two girls. MY daughter was SUPER attached to my cell phone! Great! Wonder what our future is going to be like??? :-)

You Capture -- Autumn

I have found a great blog (I Should Be Folding Laundry), where the author gives photography challenges. This is good for me, because I need to be challenged as I work to better my photography skills. So, this time, the challenge is to capture "Autumn". I LOVE Fall/Autumn, so this isn't too difficult for me. We took our little ones (and our big one) to the pumpkin patch this week, and here are a couple of photos from our visit:
